IRQ and DMA configuration
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you install a new piece of equipment e.g. a sound-card or
MPEG decoder card, you might have some problems configuring the IRQ and
DMA channels for the device.
To assist you, here we list the normal configuration for standard devices:

IRQ Channel Device (Standard AT PC)
  -----------------------------------------------------------------
     2                      Interrupt 8 ---> 15
     3 COM2
     4 COM1
     5 --- Free ---
     6 Floppy Disk Controller
     7 LPT 1 *** (mostly soundcards)
     10 Unassigned
     11 Unassigned
     12 Unassigned
     13 Mathematics coprocessor
     14 Hard Disk
     15 Unassigned

*** IRQ 7 : This IRQ channel is used by the first parallel port, but
usually is shareable. Most soundcards are by standard
set to IRQ 7. However, if you are planning to use for instance
OS/2 or another multitasking system, while printer and
soundcard can be accessed at the same time, it is advised
to put your soundcard on IRQ 5.

DMA Channel Device (Standard AT computer)
   ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    0 Available
    1 Available (Mostly Soundcards)
    2 Floppy Disk
    3 Available
    4 Memory Refresh
    5 Unassigned
    6 *** Unassigned
    7 Unassigned

*** DMA CHANNEL 6 : This channel is not advised to use for a device.
